THREADLIFT

With an increase in the demand for non-surgical procedures, and the patient’s wishes for a “quick-fix” solution to minor aesthetic concerns, a number of so-called “lunchtime procedures’ ‘ have gained popularity recently. Threadlift is a minimally invasive procedure where dissolvable sutures are placed under the skin to give a mechanical lift to the tissues of the face and stimulate the production of collagen in the skin in order to produce healthier, firmer skin. Since the threads are placed in the deeper tissues of the face , they are usually not palpable once the procedure is done. The procedure is practically painless and has minimal downtime. It is helpful for patients with early signs of descent of facial tissues particularly the nasolabial folds, mid-facial descent, jowls and neck. The result is a subtle lifting effect lasting a few months to a year.
